Dumplings, Noodles and Miso Sea Bass: 3 Asian Dinners for Flavor South Florida

Three menus, three different dinner budgets

Dumplings may be the starting point, but they do not have to lead to the same kind of evening. Blackbird Modern Asian in Jupiter, Red Pine in Boca Raton and Echo in Palm Beach give September diners a choice between noodles, familiar Chinese favorites and a more formal island dinner.

All three appear in this year's Flavor lineup. Their posted prix-fixe menus also differ enough that it pays to compare the actual meal, including the additions, before reserving.

Blackbird Jupiter: a $39 menu with a noodle option

The Jupiter Flavor section of Blackbird's menus lists three courses for $39, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. Steamed shrimp dumplings are one starter, while the main choices include shrimp lo mein, Mongolian beef and mushroom chow fun marked vegetarian.

The noodle choice is useful for a group comparing different main-course preferences. Look beyond the familiar chicken-and-beef decision and consider whether noodles are what you actually want from dinner. A fixed-price menu can be an opportunity to choose a favorite preparation rather than the ingredient with the most expensive reputation.

Use the Jupiter Flavor tab: the same website also carries the Naples restaurant's Sizzle Dining menu.

Red Pine: Chinese favorites with clearly priced additions

Red Pine's September menu advertises $50-plus per person before tax and gratuity. Chicken dumplings or cucumber salad can begin a meal that continues with kung pao chicken, shrimp and walnuts, or sesame beef.

Budget the optional fried rice at $9 and the Flavor cocktail at $10 separately. The PDF also notes a 3% credit-card fee and automatic 20% gratuity for parties of five or more. Those details help the table agree on a realistic spend before anyone orders extras.

For two people, compare the mains before selecting starters. A cooler opening can create a different progression from dumplings followed by another substantial plate. The menu says no substitutions, so resolve dietary questions with the restaurant before committing.

Echo: an island dinner with a $70 prix fixe

Echo is a confirmed Flavor participant, and its official dining page advertises a summer three-course offer through September 30. The linked $70 menu includes pork potstickers among the starters and miso sea bass among the mains. Service charge and state sales tax are additional.

Echo is on Sunrise Avenue, a few blocks from The Breakers, rather than inside the hotel. Its posted schedule is Tuesday-Sunday, and the dress guidance is cocktail chic. The prix-fixe document excludes groups, so larger parties should clarify eligibility directly.

Choose by the meal you want

Blackbird provides the lowest advertised base price here. Red Pine suits a table drawn to Chinese favorites, while Echo offers a different setting and main-course range. Check the full menu and current availability for your date. A satisfying September dinner starts with a clear choice about the food, setting and total budget.
