These terms cover your use of PrePlate.co (the "Site"). By visiting or using the Site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
What PrePlate.co is
PrePlate.co is a restaurant dining guide and local news site covering openings, closings, and dining coverage across the areas we track. Restaurant details — hours, status, menus, pricing, reservation links — come from a mix of public sources and are kept current on a best-effort basis. Always confirm details like hours or reservations directly with a restaurant before visiting.
Using the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract content in a way that places excessive load on the Site or is intended to republish our editorial content elsewhere without permission;
- Interfere with the Site's normal operation, including attempting to bypass security or access non-public areas;
- Generate fraudulent or invalid clicks, impressions, or interactions with any advertising, rewarded-ad units, surveys, or other interactive features on the Site;
- Submit false, abusive, or unlawful content through any form on the Site, including the restaurant feedback tool or a survey.
Reader tools
From time to time the Site may offer optional reader tools — a short survey, a newsletter signup, or a rewarded-ad unit that unlocks a perk in exchange for viewing an ad, among others. These are always optional: nothing on the Site requires payment or an account to read our articles and restaurant guides. Where a tool is provided through Google's Reader Revenue Manager platform, your interaction with it is also subject to Google's own Terms of Service, and what data it collects is described in our Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The Site may display advertising, including ads served through Google, to support the cost of running it. Ads are served by the ad provider, not authored by us, and we don't control which specific ad a given visitor sees. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising on the Site handles data.
Content and intellectual property
Articles, restaurant write-ups, and original photography on the Site are owned by PrePlate or used under license, and may not be republished or redistributed without permission. Restaurant names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the Site (including MICHELIN, James Beard Award, OpenTable, and Resy, among others) belong to their respective owners; referencing them doesn't imply endorsement of or affiliation with PrePlate.
Third-party links
The Site links out to restaurant websites, reservation platforms, social media, and other third-party destinations. We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those external sites once you leave PrePlate.co.
No warranty
The Site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that restaurant information is complete, current, or error-free, or that the Site will be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrePlate isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on restaurant information that turns out to be outdated or incorrect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Site changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
