One family story, two distinct restaurants

Brothers Robert and Victor Ghini grew up around their father Mario's restaurant, learning hospitality before building dining rooms of their own. That shared background connects Barcello in North Palm Beach and Limoncello in Palm Beach Gardens, but it does not make them interchangeable. Each restaurant gives the family's approach a different culinary vocabulary.

Barcello is the freer, globally minded sibling: a New American restaurant where familiar categories can move across cuisines. Limoncello takes the more focused route, grounding the meal in Italian preparations, ingredients and dining traditions. Together, they offer two answers to the same hospitality question: how can a family-run restaurant feel polished enough for an occasion while remaining personal and welcoming?

Barcello builds variety into a New American menu

At 11603 U.S. Highway 1, Barcello describes its cooking as New American global fusion. Chef and co-founder Robert Ghini uses that broad frame to place dishes with very different reference points on one menu. A table might begin with French onion soup, grilled octopus or a short-rib flatbread before considering tuna sashimi pizza, pad Thai, rigatoni with vodka sauce or spaghetti frutti di mare. Main courses currently range from braised short rib and a double-cut pork chop to sweet-potato-crusted grouper and shrimp oreganata.

That range makes Barcello useful for a group whose diners do not all want the same style of meal. One guest can build dinner around fresh fish, another can choose pasta, and another can keep the evening casual with pizza or the house burger. The official menu also identifies vegetarian and gluten-free possibilities, while the restaurant encourages guests with allergies or restrictions to discuss accommodations.

Wine and cocktails are part of the restaurant's identity rather than an afterthought. The official wine list spans sparkling wine, Sauvignon Blanc, rosé and other selections by the glass, alongside signature cocktails, beer and spirits. Barcello's own description emphasizes an atmosphere that is stylish but unpretentious, with service intended to make both first-time and returning guests feel at home.

Limoncello focuses the family tradition through Italian cooking

Limoncello operates at 2000 PGA Boulevard, Suite 3110, in Palm Beach Gardens. Its menu stays closer to an Italian through line, beginning with antipasti such as clams Posillipo, calamari fritti, eggplant rollatini, stuffed artichoke, mozzarella caprese and beef carpaccio. Soups include pasta e fagioli, while salads feature ingredients such as arugula, Grana Padano, beets, gorgonzola and citrus vinaigrette.

The structure rewards diners who enjoy shaping a classic progression: antipasto or soup, followed by pasta and then a seafood or meat course. The current menu also supports a shorter visit built around a few shared starters and an individual main course. Its beverage list extends through Italian digestifs and amari, including the namesake limoncello, alongside wine, whiskey, tequila and other after-dinner options.

The brothers' official account of Limoncello emphasizes authentic Italian cuisine and the same family lessons in attentive hospitality that appear in Barcello's story. Here, however, those lessons are expressed through a more concentrated cuisine rather than Barcello's cross-cultural range.

Choose by appetite and occasion

Barcello is the more natural choice when a table values breadth. Its menu can accommodate a craving for pizza, pasta, fresh fish, steak or a globally influenced dish without forcing the group into one lane. The relaxed New American framing also suits diners who want serious food and drinks without a formal white-tablecloth script.

Limoncello fits an evening organized around Italian dining: antipasti for the table, a pasta course, a composed entrée and perhaps an amaro or limoncello afterward. Its Palm Beach Gardens address may also make it the more convenient option for diners already near the PGA Boulevard corridor, while Barcello serves North Palm Beach from its U.S. 1 dining room.

Neither choice requires treating the restaurants as competitors. Their value as sister concepts comes from contrast: the same family hospitality roots support two menus with clearly different purposes.

Confirm the current details before dinner

Barcello currently lists dinner Monday through Saturday and closes Sunday. Limoncello publishes its current hours, menus, reservation access and private-event information through its official site. Because dishes, prices, hours and reservation policies can change, review each restaurant's current information on the day of the visit.

For dietary needs, large parties or a special occasion, contact the restaurant directly before arriving. Barcello's varied menu and Limoncello's traditional progression each leave room for a carefully planned meal, but the best choice begins with the experience the table wants: global flexibility in North Palm Beach or an Italian-centered evening in Palm Beach Gardens.
